Formed in 1970 with the vison “To get the youth and adults to work together in partnership and healthy community,” the United Action for Youth (UAY) now serves 2,600 people annually.
The UAY allows young people from all walks of life to try new things, grow in community, explore new talents, and from into an adult. The youth are partnered with an adult who can encourage, care, teach, and give honest feed back. The youth can join visual art groups, learn to play in instrument, and voice opinons for a positive change.
Along with the UAY’s services for the kids, the UAY also offers information on raising children and counseling for parents with classes such as what to do when your child runs away, activating your teen, and suicide prevention.
